D. Jay Newman (the "D" is silent) works for the TLT group at Penn State University writing programs to aid the faculty in using classroom-based technology. In his spare time, Jay keeps busy constructing robots and writing. Jay is old enough to have built his first computer around a 6502 with 18 KB of RAM -- back when that was a large amount. The JStik that is the brain of his current robot is much more powerful than his first homebuilt computer. Jay lives with his wife, dog, and an annoying parrot.
